What happens next
- Within 10 business days we confirm we received it and tell you if we need anything to verify it’s you.
- Within 45 calendar days we complete it. If we need more time (up to 45 more days), we’ll tell you why before then.
- Verification: we match the request to the email address on our list. Sending from that address is the fastest way; otherwise we’ll email that address to confirm.
- Authorized agents can submit for someone else with signed permission.
Unsubscribe or delete?
- Unsubscribe (link in every email) stops the emails immediately. Your address stays on Kit’s “do not email” list so you aren’t re-added by mistake.
- Delete removes you from our subscriber list in Kit entirely, including your open and click history, and deletes our email threads with you (except what the law requires us to keep, like a record that we handled your request). After that we have no record of you, so signing up again later starts fresh.
We never charge for requests and won’t treat you differently for making one. If we can’t fulfill a request, we’ll explain why and you can appeal by replying “Appeal”. See the privacy policy for details.
